It’s a great idea to change your Twitter password from time to time. We’ve noticed an increasing number of spam DMs and Tweets with only a link. Be wary – links on their own are frequently malicious, even if they’ve come from a business/person you know well. Sometimes they have a short message too, along the lines of ‘you’ve been caught out’. Clicking through seems to be all that’s need to send the link out to all YOUR contacts, and so the irritation spreads.
